You can either remove the griptape by scraping the complete deck or using a sharp knife cut around the screws which can be felt under the griptape. A 5mm will remove the 2 securing bolts , remove the old brake and fit the new . It can be fitted with the wheel in position however it may be easier to remove. Ensure grip tape is replaced or securely in position .
